Amman is a city of contrasts. The capital of Jordan, it is situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. Its residential districts range from ancient villages to modern suburbs while its cultural diversity is evident in its historic citadel, historic souks and modern museums. The city’s commercial heart contains ultra-modern buildings, hotels, restaurants and boutiques rubbing shoulders comfortably with traditional coffee shops and tiny artisan workshops

A day to visit Um Qais or Gadara of antiquity, with its superb vistas over the northern Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias). Then proceed to the shadow of the imposing Ajloun Castle and the magnificent view from its roof terrace, gazing over to the Golan Heights and Yarmouk River gorge. After visiting Ajloun, you will head for Jerash. The ruins of “Gerasa” are among the most extensive and well-preserved of any ancient city in the Middle East. Jerash is a must see for history lovers, with impressive ruins of the Roman city including a long colonnaded street and an ancient hippodrome for chariot races. The highlight of your stay in Jordan

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Amman Airport – Overnight in Amman

Arrival QAIA – Overnight in Amman

Day 2: Amman – Ajloun - Jerash – Amman

After breakfast depart to Ajloun for a tour in the town where in the fertile highlands of north
Jordan. It’s overlooked by the ruined Ajloun Castle, originally built in 1184 to defend against the
Crusaders. Inside, the Ajloun Archaeological Museum’s displays include ancient Neolithic
artifacts. The Ajloun Castle Trail winds north to the ruined hilltop church of Mar Elias. The
Prophet’s Trail continues through orchards and oak trees to the Ajloun Forest Reserve after that
visit Jerash (Gerasa of antiquity), the best preserved city of Roman times, to visit its theatres,
temples, churches and colonnaded streets. in the afternoon, back to Amman for overnight

Day 3: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Baptism- Dead Sea

Depart Amman to visit the mosaic city of, Madaba, known as the City of Mosaics. Here you will
visit the oldest map of the Holy Land on the floor of Saint George’s Church. Madaba, or Medeba
in antiquity, features many famous mosaics that exist in public and private buildings.
After Madaba a short drive will bring you to Mt. Nebo, the alleged burial site of Moses
overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. From this mountain top Mosaic had his first
glimpse of the Holy Land, a land he was never allowed to enter. Here Franciscans have built a
structure that protects a 4th and 6th Century Byzantine church, after that drive to the most
spectacular site is the dead sea , which at 400 meters below sea level is the lowest body of
water on earth. visit baptism Home to several biblical cities including Sodom, Gomorrah, and
Zoar, the archaeological discoveries between the Jordan River and Tal al-Kharrar have
identified this area as Biblical “Bethany Beyond the Jordan.” The area is where John was living
when he baptized Jesus. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Baptism Site
commission welcomes pilgrims from all around the world seeking spiritual connection to biblical
times, a glimpse of history or a chance to be baptized where Jesus was so many years ago.
If that’s not enough biblical history for one area, the cave where Lot and his daughters took
refuge after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is located just outside an area called Safi
(Biblical Zoar) - Dead Sea Overnight at your Hotel.

Day 4: Dead sea - Kerak -–Overnight in Petra

After breakfast, depart to visit Kerak known in the Kingdom of Jerusalem as Kerak, is a city in
Jordan known for its Crusader castle, the Kerak Castle. The castle is one of the three largest
castles in the region

Day 5: Petra -Wadi rum Overnight in Wadi rum

After breakfast, full day tour of Petra. Once the ancient Nabatean capital, this city gently reveals
itself as you walk through its hand carved facades. Starting at the visitors’ center, each person
is assigned a horse guided by a local Bedouin who will lead you to the once hidden entrance to
the lost city.  After passing some tombs which are located outside the city, the visitor passes
through the SIQ, an immense crack in the Nubian sandstone. It is a winding, one-kilometer-long

fissure between overhanging cliffs that seem to meet more than 300 feet overhead. Near the
end of the passage, the SIQ, with great style, makes one last turn and out of the gloom in
towering brightness appears Petra’s most impressive monument, el Khazneh - The Treasury.
This is one of the most elegant remains of antiquity, carved out of the solid rock from the side of
the mountain and is nearly 140 feet high and 90 feet wide. After the ride head to the camp for
amazing party and dinner then over night at Wadi rum

Day 6: Wadi rum -Aqaba- Overnight in Aqaba

After breakfast,. rum adventure Jeep 4*4 2 hours (optional) you will take a jeep tour managed
and driven by one of the local Bedouin to many of the sites in the moon-like landscaped desert.
You will start from the visitor center and drive to Rum village about a 10 minute drive on paved
roads.  After this you will head into the ochre colored sandy desert as you visit the sites of Rum.
Visit Lawrence’s spring this spring was named for T.E. Lawrence, of Lawrence of Arabia fame,
who fought in the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire. Continue to Khazali Canyon an
iconic feature in Wadi Rum, Khazali Canyon is an easy 20 minute walk that allows you to see
many Nabatean inscriptions and drawings. Last place to visit is the Sand dunes, and then head
back to the visitor center passing by Wadi Rum Village. wadi)-then transfer to Aqaba –O/N

Day 7: Aqaba – Amman

Enjoying swimming at the amazing atmosphere of aqaba - drive to Amman - Amman hotel
