Despre acest tur

Amman is a city of contrasts. The capital of Jordan, it is situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. Its residential districts range from ancient villages to modern suburbs while its cultural diversity is evident in its historic citadel, historic souks and modern museums. The city’s commercial heart contains ultra-modern buildings, hotels, restaurants and boutiques rubbing shoulders comfortably with traditional coffee shops and tiny artisan workshops

A day to visit Um Qais or Gadara of antiquity, with its superb vistas over the northern Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias). Then proceed to the shadow of the imposing Ajloun Castle and the magnificent view from its roof terrace, gazing over to the Golan Heights and Yarmouk River gorge. After visiting Ajloun, you will head for Jerash. The ruins of “Gerasa” are among the most extensive and well-preserved of any ancient city in the Middle East. Jerash is a must see for history lovers, with impressive ruins of the Roman city including a long colonnaded street and an ancient hippodrome for chariot races. The highlight of your stay in Jordan

Wander through its large theatres, temples, churches and colonnaded streets before continuing on to Amman.
